Responsible Conduct of Research

Texas A&M University is committed to conducting research responsibly and ethically. Topics related to Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) include: Research Misconduct, Data Management, Conflict of Interest, Collaborative Science, Responsible Authorship, Mentoring, Peer Review, Animals Research, and Human Subjects Research.

Training is offered by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative to familiarize researchers with these topics. This training meets the National Science Foundation (NSF) requirements for RCR training for student and postdoctoral researchers working on an NSF-sponsored project.

There are multiple course options for training. Please look at the list of RCR modules below and select the most appropriate course. Please read through the options before following the link to CITI.

CITI Course in the Responsible Conduct of Research

For each module:

  • Fill out the appropriate forms for registration, including affiliation with Texas A&M University
  • Select the RCR Module that best fits your academic discipline
  • Upon completion of training, please print the training certificate for your own records and for proof of training (as required).
