Aggie Research Volunteers: New solution for study recruitment
The Division of Research at Texas A&M University has launched Aggie Research Volunteers (arv.tamu.edu), an online platform designed to make it easier for scientific studies to recruit candidates from the Texas A&M community and surrounding areas.
The platform is open for investigators to submit studies, providing a centralized way to connect with volunteers for clinical trials, online surveys, experiments, and more.
“Recruiting participants is often a major challenge, especially for studies that draw from specific populations,” said Dr. Jack G. Baldauf, vice president for research at Texas A&M. “Aggie Research Volunteers solves this problem with a centralized platform, allowing investigators to post studies and making it easier for candidates to find relevant opportunities. This approach helps connect researchers more efficiently with those who meet their study criteria.”
Researchers interested in posting their studies on the ARV platform should follow these steps:
- Download the ARV Recruitment Website Submission Form.
- Complete the form, ensuring all information is consistent with other study documents.
- Upload the completed form to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) via Huron as part of the recruitment plan.
- Download the IRB-approved and stamped version of the form.
- Send the approved form to arv@tamu.edu for publication on the ARV platform.
In addition, Aggie Research Volunteers lets candidates browse studies that match their interests using a simple, searchable interface with organized categories. To attract potential volunteers, the Division of Research will promote ARV widely to campus and local communities. This will include mass emails, digital signs, newsletters, news media and more.
