New Data Management Services
Information from the Office of Scholarly Communications in the University Libraries

Effectively managing and sharing TAMU’s research data (https://sparcopen.org/open-data/) can improve our research productivity and impact, accelerate the pace of discovery, and help meet funder, such as NSF, NIH and NEH, requirements for the sharing of research data (http://datasharing.sparcopen.org/).

The University Libraries supports researchers through a data management program with three components:

  • Data Management Plan Consultation – we can help PIs develop competitive DMPs for proposals using the DMP Planning Tool (https://dmptool.org/).
  • Texas Data Repository (https://data.tdl.org/) - free for all TAMU Researchers. The TDR meets the requirements of all federal funding agencies. Disciplinary data repositories can be identified using the Registry of Research Data Repositories (http://www.re3data.org)
