International Cooperative Biodiversity Groups (U19)
Limited Submission Program (LSP): This funding opportunity and the Limited Submission Program (LSP) is open to all Texas A&M faculty and principal investigators who meet the eligibility requirements. Texas A&M University and The Texas A&M University System Agencies jointly administer this process to select the proposal(s) that will be submitted to the sponsor in response to this solicitation.
PI Eligibility: Any individual(s) with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out the proposed research as the program director(s)/principal investigator(s) (PD(s)/PI(s)) is invited to work with his/her organization to develop an application for support. Individuals from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, individuals with disabilities, and women are always encouraged to apply for NIH support.
The proposal will be prepared and submitted by Sponsored Research Services (SRS).

Summary: The National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Energy invite applications for the establishment or continuation of "International Cooperative Biodiversity Groups" (ICBG) to address the interdependence of biodiversity exploration for potential applications in health and energy, with investments in research capacity that support sustainable use of these resources, the knowledge to conserve them, and equitable partnership frameworks among research and development organizations in the U.S. and low and middle income countries.
September 16, 2013: Deadline for an internal email of intent including the title of the internal proposal and a one-three sentence description of the project.

September 23, 2013: Deadline to submit an internal proposal.
All proposals for the LSP must be submitted electronically using the e-proposal on-line application system.
Be prepared to upload your internal proposal. The sections will include a one-three page research plan summary and two-page bio-sketch. Budget not required for the internal proposal.
The e-proposal site is password protected. Texas A&M principal investigators may use their NetID and password to access the system. If you do not have a NetID, click HERE for help to activate your NetID. You will need your UIN and your date of birth.

October 15, 2013: Target date for the notifications to PIs of the result of the internal competition.
November 20, 2013: Sponsor deadline for the full application (due by 5 p.m. proposer’s local time).
