PI Eligibility:
Texas A&M University faculty are eligible.

HED will only consider applications from regionally accredited, degree granting, U.S. higher education institutions (two- and four-year colleges and universities). U.S. colleges and universities may apply individually or in partnership with other institutions.

Institutional Eligibility: 
Your proposal will need to be submitted in the name of Texas A&M University. The proposal will be prepared and submitted by the Office of Sponsored Research Services (OSRS).

Number of Applications: 1
HED will accept only one (1) application from each lead U.S. applicant institution per partnership award. However, U.S. applicant institutions are permitted to participate as secondary institutions in more than one application per partnership award.

Summary:
The Women’s Leadership Program in Armenia (WLP-Armenia)
The purpose of the Women’s Leadership Program in Armenia is to support national and local development goals that promote gender equality and female empowerment in Armenia.

HED is working with EGAT/ED and USAID/Armenia to support a higher education partnership between Yerevan State University and a U.S. higher education institution that will enhance the ability of Yerevan State University to advance women’s leadership.

The WLP-Armenia partnership will contribute to the primary objectives of the overall Women’s Leadership Program framework. These overarching objectives are:
1. To promote and support the access of women to higher education and advanced degrees
2. To strengthen institutional capacity in research and education on women's leadership
3. To promote women's leadership through higher education extension/outreach efforts in underserved communities


Dates:
June 4, 2012, 5:00 pm:  Deadline for an email of intent, title of internal proposal and a 1-3 sentence description of the project.

June 8, 2012, 5:00 pm:  Deadline to submit an internal proposal.  All proposals submitted for the Limited Submissions must be submitted electronically using the on-line application system, which is available at: https://eproposal.tamu.edu.

Be prepared to upload your internal proposal, the sections will include a 1-3 page Research Plan Summary, Bio-sketch, and a budget.
