Opportunities for Enhancing Diversity in the Geosciences (OEDG)

Texas A&M University faculty, including Agriculture, Engineering and TTI personnel.

Institutional Eligibility
This solicitation is limited to Texas A&M University.  The proposal will be submitted by the Office of Sponsored Research Services (OSRS).

Number of Proposals: 1…. Planning Grant Proposal Only
Institutions may obtain funding for only one Planning Grant proposal over the lifetime of this solicitation.

OEDG Planning Grants - This Track supports planning workshops, conferences, symposia and related short-term activities that facilitate either: 1) development of new strategic plans to implement systemic, community-wide programs to broaden participation in the geosciences; or, 2) development of new partnerships or collaborations between multiple institutions seeking to establish sustainable projects that address the goals of the OEDG program.

OEDG Planning Grant awards are for a maximum duration of 12 months. The maximum allowable funding request under the OEDG Planning Grant Track is $40,000.

September 12, 2011, 5:00 p.m.: Deadline for an email of intent. Include the names of the PI and co-PIs, title of internal proposal and a 1-3 sentence description of the project.

September 15, 2011, 5:00 p.m.: Deadline to submit an internal proposal.

All proposals submitted for the Limited Submissions must be submitted electronically using the on-line application system, which is available at: https://eproposal.tamu.edu.

Be prepared to upload your internal proposal, the sections will include a 1-3 page Research Plan Summary, Bio-sketch, and a budget.

September 19, 2011: The Internal Selection Committee will notify PIs of the result of the internal competition.

October 5, 2011: Deadline for the Full proposal, by 5:00 pm local time of applicant organization
