Institutional Eligibility
Your proposal will need to be submitted in the name of Texas A&M University. The proposal will be prepared and submitted by the Office of Sponsored Research Services (OSRS)

Only one application will be accepted per applicant organization.

PI Eligibility
Any individual(s) with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out the proposed research as the Program Director/Principal Investigator (PD/PI) is invited to work with his/her organization to develop an application for support. Individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups as well as individuals with disabilities are always encouraged to apply for NIH support.

Summary
The goal of the IMSD Program is to increase the number of students from groups underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences that complete the Ph.D. degree in these fields at institutions with research intensive environments.

Dates
November 11, 2011, by 5:00 p.m.:
Deadline for an email of intent, including the names of the PI and co-PIs, title of internal proposal and a 1-3 sentence description of the project.

November 15, 2011, by 5:00 p.m.: Deadline to submit an internal proposal.
All proposals submitted for the Limited Submissions must be submitted electronically using the on line application system, which is available at: https://eproposal.tamu.edu.

Be prepared to upload your internal proposal, the sections will include a 1-3 page Research Plan Summary, Bio-sketch, and a budget.
