To Join (HSC Members):

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on: Join this group
  3. Click on: Sign in to Texas A&M Health Science Center
  4. On the Shibboleth Identity Provider Login, enter your HSC Username and Password
  5. Click on "Login"


To Sign In Once You've Joined (HSC Members):

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on "Sign in" in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window
  3. On the Shibboleth Identity Provider Login, enter your HSC Username and Password
  4. Click on "Login"


To Join (Non-HSC Members):

  1. If you lack a Google Account, you must first establish a Google Account; see "To Create a Google Account" below
  2. Go to www.google.com and sign in.
  3. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  4. Click on "Join group to post".
  5. Select desired settings and click "Join Group".


To Sign In Once You've Joined (Non-HSC Members):

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on "Sign in" in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window
  3. Choose your appropriate Google account should you have more than one.
  4. Enter your Google Account password, then click "Sign in"

Functionality of the listserv

Once you've joined and signed in, you can:

  1. Click on New Topic to start a new discussion.
  2. Open an existing topic and Post a Reply if desired.
  3. Filter topics
  4. Edit your membership settings (from the My Settings icon on the right).

How to...

  1. Post to the discussion board
    1. When logged onto the CPRIT Google groups site, then click on "NEW TOPIC" or
    2. From your preferred email client, send an email to cprit@groups.tamhsc.edu
  2. Manage the emails you receive from CPRIT Google Groups a. You can manage the frequency and number of emails you receive from the CPRIT Google Group. Your options are:
    1. Each and every email
    2. A digest email (25 messages bundled into one)
    3. An abridged email (for every 100 messages or once per day)
    4. No email (you will have to visit the CPRIT Google Group to view discussions)
    5. When logged onto the group, click on "Edit my membership" and make the desired choice under "How do you want to read this group?"
  3. Set the email address to which the CPRIT Google Groups messages are sent
    1. If you're using a Google Groups account to log in (as opposed to an HSC username), you need to define where you wish to receive your CPRIT group emails by adding that email address to your Google Account Settings and then selecting that email address in your CPRIT Group Settings.
      1. Add the desired email address to your Google account: Log onto Google Groups. Visit Account Settings (click on the gear in the upper right-hand corner, then click on Account settings). Click on Edit below the list of your Email addresses. Add the desired email address to your Google account. Save the change. You will receive a verification email at the new address which you then must verify per the instructions in the email.
      2. Then, specify in your Group Settings which email address to use: Navigate back to the CPRIT group (Click on More at the top of the page, click on Groups in the drop-down menu). Click on "View 1[or 2,3, ...] group at tamhsc.edu," then click on "cprit" in the list of your Google groups. Click on the gear icon and click on Group settings. Select in the drop-down box under Email the email address at which you wish to receive CPRIT Google Group emails. Click on Save group settings.
  4. Sign out of the CPRIT Google Group session
    1. If you are viewing the CPRIT Google Group on a public computer, it is advisable to sign out of the session when you are done and close the browser.
    2. To sign out, click on your email Sign-in address in the upper right hand corner, then click on "Sign out." Don't forget to close the browser.
  5. Create a Google Account
    1. Navigate to http://www.google.com/
    2. Click on "Sign in" in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window
    3. Click on "Create an account now"
    4. Provide the information requested
    5. After reading Google's Terms of Service, click on "I accept. Create my account"
