An Acronym to Know—Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP)

In looking at examples from above, most research teams include geographic diversity or transdisciplinary expertise and can incorporate that into the PEDP document.  Additional collaborations or linkages may be found through further resources:

  • The Graduate and Professional School, including linkages to mentoring training and other through national programs such as the Center for Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) and the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER).
  • See a full listing of programming resources and video clips from the Education and Outreach Expo held annually at Texas A&M University.  The expo provides an opportunity to find and link with programming to reach groups of individuals of all ages, backgrounds and diverse perspectives.
  • Undergraduate research through various colleges, honors programs, the Aggie Research Program (which provides team building and components of leadership development to undergraduate researchers, graduate students and faculty conducting research at Texas A&M), partnerships with Texas A&M University Systems, Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
