Camp Code for Girls


Limited Submission Program (LSP): This funding opportunity and the Limited Submission Program (LSP) is open to all Texas A&M University faculty and principal investigators who meet the eligibility requirements. Texas A&M and The Texas A&M University System agencies jointly administer this process to select the proposal(s) that will be submitted to the sponsor in response to this solicitation.


Institutional Eligibility:  Institutions of higher education in Texas are eligible.  An Eligible Applicant may submit only one (1) application.


The proposal will be prepared and submitted by Sponsored Research Services (SRS).

Summary:  The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking applications from Eligible Applicants to provide computer coding/programming summer camps for Texas middle school girls in grades six (6) through eight (8).


The purpose of the Camp Code for Girls program is to increase the interest of middle school girls in coding and programming by providing hands-on experiences in summer camps that include challenging and innovative concepts and experiences in learning, problem solving, and analytical skills, and simultaneously fostering an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) related careers.




October 5, 2018

Deadline for a declaration of intent including the title and a one to three sentence description of the camp.  Please include a total budget. After assessing the interest in this program, PIs will be contacted with further details.
