Limited Submission Program (LSP): This funding opportunity and the Limited Submission Program (LSP) is open to all Texas A&M University faculty and principal investigators who meet the eligibility requirements. Texas A&M and The Texas A&M University System agencies jointly administer this process to select the proposal(s) that will be submitted to the sponsor in response to this solicitation.
Institutional Eligibility: Any domestic biomedical institution, whether solely research or educational, is invited to submit one candidate for the Mallinckrodt Board's consideration.
PI Eligibility: The funds are designed to provide faculty members who hold M.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees, and who are in the first to fourth year of a tenure-track position, with support to move the project forward to the point where R01 or other independent funding can be obtained. Applicants with current R01 funding should not apply.
The proposal will be prepared and submitted by Sponsored Research Services (SRS).

Summary: The mission of the Foundation is to support early stage investigators engaged in basic biomedical research that has the potential to significantly advance the understanding, diagnosis or treatment of disease.
The regular grants provide $60,000 per year for a period of up to three years. The grants are not renewable. Institutions may submit one proposal annually.

May 17, 2019 Deadline for an email of intent including the title of the internal proposal and a one to three sentence description of the project.

May 24, 2019 Deadline to submit an internal proposal. All proposals for the LSP must be submitted electronically using the e-proposal on-line application system. Be prepared to upload your internal proposal. The sections will reflect the foundation’s guidelines and include a detailed proposal with Objectives/Aims (5 pages max not including references), five-page bio-sketch (NIH format), and a 3-year budget. The e-proposal site is password protected. Texas A&M principal investigators may use their NetID and password to access the system. If you do not have a NetID, click HERE for help to activate your NetID. You will need your UIN and your date of birth. Once you log-in to e-proposal, choose “Limited Submission Grant” from the Available Grants section.
