My IRB Contact
In an effort to reduce IRB turn-around times and to better serve the needs of our research community, the TAMU HRPP/IRB office has created teams. Each team is made up of dedicated professionals specializing in different levels of processing for human subjects research.
When you submit to the IRB, your submission will be assigned to one of the following teams:
- Team 1: Exempt Pre-Review
- Team 2: Expedited Pre-Review (Includes 118/Delayed Onset & Not Human Subjects Determinations)
- Team 3: Full Board Pre-Review
- Team 4: School of Dentistry Pre-Review (all submissions regardless of review level)
You always have the option of reaching out to any member of the HRPP/IRB office but for the best response to your questions about a specific submission, contact the coordinator assigned to that submission in Huron. The coordinator assigned to your study is listed on the main study page or in the submission history.
If you need additional help please contact the HRPP Administration Team below or email the general IRB inbox at irb@tamu.edu.
Team 1: Exempt Pre-Review
Minimal risk research that fits into one or more of the exemption categories as defined by the federal regulations will be assigned to the exempt pre-review team. Examples of exempt research include benign behavioral interventions or surveys and interviews with adults that involve no more than minimal risk to study participants, or secondary data analysis.
