Investigator Resources
The Human Research Protection Program provides a variety of tools to the Texas A&M research community.
Education
General information regarding human research protections and relevant federal regulations and guidance is incorporated into the required human protections training.
Investigator Manual
The Investigator Manual is designed to guide you through policies and procedures related to the conduct of human research that are specific to this institution.
Tools
The Human Research Protection Program has developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, worksheets, and templates for use by the research community.
Online Application Submission System
The Human Research Protection Program uses iRIS, a web-based system for application submission and real-time submission tracking of all of the research applications that are submitted to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The system also functions as a document repository, providing investigators with easy access to submission records and study documents.
Convened IRB Meeting Schedule
The Institutional Review Boards convene at least once a month. The Texas A&M IRB meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month. The College of Dentistry IRB meets on the 4th Thursday of the month.
