iLab/FAMIS integration FAQ

FAMIS Integration

The Division of Research at Texas A&M University has contracted with Agilent to use its iLab-hosted product to coordinate scheduling of core facilities across the University and The Texas A&M University System.

In addition to scheduling, the product can handle billing for the use of services or equipment. To enable the billing component, information must be shared between iLab and the A&M System-account application FAMIS. The Division of Research facilitates this sharing of data through several channels.

Important Onboarding Information

To use the iLab/FAMIS integration, a core facility must coordinate with the Division of Research to schedule its onboarding process, which can take up to one month.

The onboarding process consists of the following:

  • Verification that any revenue codes used are in the allowable table and that only revenue codes are used
  • Designation of the core facility’s revenue account, official name, billing address, email address, and phone number
  • Designation of the core facility’s billing manager(s)
  • Formatting of the PO Number
