The HSC’s Office of Postdoctoral Affairs presents a 3-part seminar series:

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs hosts a 3-part seminar series with Dr. Christina Papke of TAMU’s Research Development Services. Lunch will be served at all locations with five or more registrants.

 

Part 1: Using NIH Resources to Your Advantage

Participants will learn about the latest tools and resources available through NIH, and will receive tips on how to use these resources effectively to build a strong foundation for their fellowship applications.

 

Part 2: Fellowship Writing Tips and Resources

Participants will learn where to find resources for writing fellowship applications. Practical tips for writing compelling applications and addressing NIH review criteria will be discussed. Participants will also learn about tools and resources for development their grantsmanship skills.

 

Part 3: Fellowship Writing Tips and Resources (continued)

Participants will learn about additional grantwriting tools and resources, along with practical skills for avoiding common grantsmanship pitfalls. Review criteria specific to fellowship applications will also be covered. Additionally, participant will learn strategies for giving and receiving effective peer feedback.
