Focus Areas

The Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Building has been designed for research investigation in many different areas of interest in the life sciences. At  the outset, however, work in the facility is focusing on three general subject areas—bioinformatics, neuroscience, and structural biology. These areas have attracted the interest of the ILSB’s resident scholars because of the growing prominence of the subjects in the national and international research communities, their interconnectivity, and the potential that they hold for the advancement of human health and the life sciences as a whole.
