During this seminar, ZJ will describe the procedure of a typical NSF review panel. More importantly, he will also discuss how knowing each of the panel steps can potentially be beneficial when preparing NSF proposals. For example, will the panel use triage? How many proposals will be reviewed in the panel? Will the panel be conducted on site, virtually, or mixed? Will some proposals be reviewed by ad hoc reviewers? Will there be a briefing at the beginning of the panel? Will the briefing information be shared with reviewers prior to the panel day? ZJ will provide some possible answers to these questions, and how different answers might affect proposal preparation.
The meeting will be held in the Emerging Technologies Building - Room 3002.
