Ted Nash Long Life Foundation Grants

 

Limited Submission Program (LSP): This funding opportunity and the Limited Submission Program (LSP) is open to all Texas A&M Health Science Center faculty and principal investigators who meet the eligibility requirements.

 

Institutional Eligibility:  Applications are restricted to the Mayo Clinic and the following medical schools located in the State of Texas.  The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Baylor College of Medicine and Texas A&M University Health Science Center. 

 

PI Eligibility:  Research under a Ted Nash Long Life Foundation grant should be conducted under the leadership of a “Principal” who is a full-time regular faculty member with tenure or is on tenure track.  Only one proposal may be submitted naming a particular Principal.

 

The proposal will be prepared and submitted by Sponsored Research Services (SRS).

 

Proposal Limit: 2

 

Summary:  The general policy of the Ted Nash Long Life Foundation is to support medical research at the Mayo Clinic and at seven medical schools within the State of Texas with the hope that the results will eventually extend the life expectancy of the average American.

 

Dates: 

 

August 24, 2014:

Deadline for an email of intent including the title of the internal proposal and a one to three sentence description of the project.

August 26, 2014:

Deadline to submit an internal proposal.

 

All proposals for the LSP must be submitted electronically using the e-proposal on-line application system.

 

Be prepared to upload your internal proposal. The sections will include a one-three page research plan summary, two-page bio-sketch, and preliminary budget.

 

The e-proposal site is password protected. Texas A&M principal investigators may use their NetID and password to access the system. If you do not have a NetID, click HERE for help to activate your NetID. You will need your UIN and your date of birth.
